It’s a common conversation of wondering how much data is being captured through our smartphones, if we’re being tracked, and for what purpose.

It’s been a great time in the tech space with the NZ Hi-Tech Awards being hosted in Wellington last Friday. With a turnout of close to 1100 people, including the Prime Minister and the Mayor of Wellington, it was a night to enjoy all the great innovation being developed here in Aotearoa. Congratulations to all the finalists and winners - it was great to see so many members from the wider Tech Alliance grace the stage and be acknowledged for all their hard work. 

As climate change is increasing the average temperature of our planet, the pace in which icecaps are melting and sea levels are rising will continue to put strain on our economy. 

It’s been an exciting and busy few weeks at LocationTech. We recently hosted the first webinar in our series on sustainability – diving into the future of creating sustainable cities and the impact of population growth.
